As a musical instrument played by the use of a keyboard, the piano is a very popular musical instrument worldwide. It has commonly been known for and it continues to be used for production of classical music, as well as helping in the composition and rehearsal of music in general. There are different types of piano in the world, although all have a common feature and that is, most pianos are not easily portable and they are expensive. However, until recently, gospel music in the churches has witnessed tremendous changes in the manner it has been conducted. Traditionally, most churches were very conservative or rigid in the use of musical instruments such the piano in performing gospel music. The conservativeness had also extended to the point of selecting, the music that could be played in worship or church service. New gospel music and musical instruments were considered unholy. But in the last few years, Christian have embraced most modern musical instrument in the church, most notably the piano has been playing a key role  in the performing or singing of gospel music. Playing gospel piano has become a worship style or a must in almost all churches mainstream and Pentecostal churches.

Depending  on the level of your passion or interest in playing gospel piano, the time taken to learn how to play The adoption of the piano as a major musical instrument in churches has led for a great need for professional or trained and experienced players of the piano. Learning how to play gospel piano is not an easy task and most teachers of piano playing are not familiar with gospel piano.
